"Helen, Harvey and Henry" is the
title of this stainless steel, bronze and copper fountain on the
esplanade at the Tattered Cover on Colfax. The two 3' X 5' masks
represent Helen Bonfils and Henry Lowenstein two towering figures in
the Denver theater scene and allude to the use of this site prior to
its current incarnation. The space in between the figures represents
Harvey, also an allusion to the theatre world, and the title
of, pehaps, the biggest premier ever mounted at the Bonfils
Theater. The fountain was installed
in 2007. ( Let me know if you
have ever actually seen Harvey.) |
