This venerable hotel, just outside
of the Union Station, had a beautiful Richardsonian facade designed
by the venerable architect, Frank Edbrooke. In the 30's the front
had been ground off to facilitate a new face of polished marble! The
artist was hired to recreate the original look, using stone and
terra cotta, in 1984. The Hotel once again flashed its old
smile. |
