Barry Rose - Artist Denver Public Library
bar

Commonly known as the book wall, this 3' X 33' bas relief mural employs the aesthetic of books on shelves. The piece, "At The Library", was first created and installed in 1981, by the artist working with students from Cole Jr. High School. It was commissioned by Artreach, Inc. to honor Jeannie and John Fuller. Unfortunately, the original could not be moved , and so  was  recreated by the artist (using rubbings and photos) and reinstalled in front of the new Denver Main Branch Library on Broadway, in 1996.
